Campania in the yellow zone, the May of Monuments returns

Now in its twenty-seventh edition, the “Maggio dei Monumenti” accompanies citizens and tourists, every weekend, since the first edition, in the (re) discovery of the beauty of Naples, its culture and art.

In addition to the guided tours, every year there are walks around the city and in nature organized by the Green Care Award (www.premiogreencare.org/mappa-parchi-giardini-campania-felix/). The walks to discover the hidden places of Naples and its surroundings are held during the week. as well as on weekends.

The exhibitions to visit – finally in person (not virtually) are

  • until 29 August an exhibition on Frida Khalo at PAN;
  • until 31 July an exhibition on Klimt at the Casina Pompeiana in Villa Comunale;
  • until 25 July an exhibition on Massimo Troisi at Castel dell’Ovo;
  • until May 30, the “Sisma80” photographic event at the Convent of San Domenico Maggiore;
  • until 10 July the show “In the name of God the omnipotent” at the Maschio Angioino.

The exhibitions are promoted by the Department of Education, Culture and Tourism.

On the terraces of Castel dell’Ovo, in a part of Naples at the seafront, every Saturday and Sunday there will be theatrical performances starting from Saturday 15 May until 2 June. The In-Chiostro events will be held at the Cloister of San Domenico Maggiore with the presentation of books and readings (Saturday 22 May and Saturday 29 May).
