The Wizard of Oz by L.Frank Baum returns to bookstores on September 16th, in a new version illustrated by MinaLima. It will be published in English. The news was previewed by the designers of the graphic studio MinaLima who published the cover of the book on their social page.

First released in 1900, the book will see a new life with very brightly coloured pages, full of interactive elements and with details redefined in great detail by the illustrators. The Wizard of Oz still represents a fairy tale to listen to and tell, for its stories of friendship, for the pages of magic and for the many allegories mentioned. For over a century, the adventures of Dorothy and her faithful friend Totò, their encounter with the Witch of the North, with the people of the Mastichini, with the heartless tin man, the cowardly lion and the brainless scarecrow, her desire to return home to Kansas to her beloved uncles continues to thrill readers young and old.

The designers of MinaLima have already dealt with the graphics of the Harry Potter films and the Fantastic Beasts saga in the past. In the coming months, they will also deal with the new graphic edition of the books of J.K. Rowling and classics like “The Jungle Book”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Alice in Wonderland”, to name a few.
